Son Excellence Monsieur Cheikh NIANG, Ministre de l’Intégration Africaine, des Affaires Etrangères et des Sénégalais de l’Extérieur, a été invité à s’adresser aux participants à la Conférence des Ambassadeurs italiens en Afrique, présidée par son homologue italien, Son Excellence Monsieur Antonio TAJANI, ce mercredi 29 octobre 2025, à l’hôtel Noom de Dakar.
Dans son allocution, Monsieur le Ministre s’est tout d’abord réjoui du choix porté sur le Sénégal pour abriter cette importante rencontre, qui illustre le caractère stratégique de la coopération italo-africaine. Il a ensuite souligné que le Plan Mattei pour l’Afrique, axé sur les investissements dans des secteurs clés tels que l’énergie, l’agriculture, la santé et l’éducation, marque une étape importante du partenariat italo-africain. Il a également salué la ZLECAF, projet majeur d’intégration économique, qui ouvre de nouvelles perspectives d’échanges entre les deux rives de la Méditerranée. Il a enfin conclu en rappelant que l’Italie est un partenaire majeur de l’Afrique et en saluant son positionnement sur la scène internationale et dans les arènes multilatérales.
Pour sa part, Son Excellence Monsieur Antonio TAJANI a réaffirmé l’importance de la coopération avec l’Afrique et la volonté de son Gouvernement de promouvoir un partenariat plus équilibré et davantage fondé sur le principe du gagnant-gagnant, reposant sur le partage du savoir-faire, la transformation locale, les investissements dans la formation, ainsi que la coopération sécuritaire et la lutte contre les trafics. Il a également insisté sur la nécessité d’une émulation collective, garante d’une croissance et d’un bien-être appréciables pour nos concitoyens respectifs.

His Excellency Mr. Cheikh NIANG, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, was invited to address the participants at the Conference of Italian Ambassadors in Africa, chaired by his Italian counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Antonio TAJANI, this Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Noom Hotel in Dakar.
In his remarks, the Minister first expressed his satisfaction with the choice of Senegal as the host of this important meeting, which illustrates the strategic nature of Italy–Africa cooperation. He then emphasized that the Mattei Plan for Africa, focusing on investments in key sectors such as energy, agriculture, health and education, marks an important step in the Italy–Africa partnership. He also praised AfCFTA, a major project for economic integration, which opens up new prospects for exchanges between the two shores of the Mediterranean. He concluded by recalling that Italy is a key partner for Africa and by commending its positioning on the international scene and in multilateral fora.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Antonio TAJANI reaffirmed the importance of cooperation with Africa and the willingness of his Government to promote a more balanced partnership, based on a win-win approach, knowledge-sharing, local transformation, investments in training, as well as security cooperation and the fight against trafficking. He also stressed the need for collective emulation, as a guarantee of meaningful growth and well-being for our respective populations.
