En marge des travaux de la 81e session de l’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies, S.E.M. Cheikh NIANG, Ministre de l’Intégration africaine, des Affaires étrangères et des Sénégalais de l’Extérieur, a reçu en audience M. Frank Garcia, Secrétaire d’État adjoint américain aux Affaires africaines.
La rencontre a notamment permis d’aborder plusieurs secteurs d’intérêt commun, notamment les questions juridiques et judiciaires, l’aéronautique, la transformation numérique et technologique, le secteur minier et la pêche.
Les deux parties ont réitéré leur engagement à renforcer la coopération entre le Sénégal et les États-Unis dans ces domaines stratégiques.

On the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E.M. Cheikh NIANG, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, received Mr. Frank Garcia, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, for a meeting.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss several areas of mutual interest, including legal and judicial matters, aviation, digital and technological transformation, the mining sector, and fisheries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between Senegal and the United States in these strategic areas.
